Versatile

The vessel will be constructed adopting a catamaran type hull made of marine grade aluminum plate and extrusion. It will be powered by two diesel engines hydraulically driving twin fixed-pitch propellers.

Our company, aiming to guarantee the vessel’s efficiency and operation, commits that all materials and machinery installed will be certified by a high class manufacturer. The vessel will have no onboard cabins but will be equipped with all necessary workspaces for the crew to fulfill the operational requirements as an oil spill control and waste management vessel.

Our company’s goal is for this vessel to perform as many functions as possible, making it more effective and economical than other vessels. Its primary service will be the collection of garbage, waste, and other small floating debris within port limits.

The vessel is designed and certified according to IACS requirements.
The vessel’s design will focus on ease of operation. High performance and consistent efficiency are considered standard, making the vessel suitable for operation within ports and harbors.
The propulsion system, electrical equipment, and HVAC system will be designed for operation in Mediterranean conditions with seawater temperatures not exceeding 35°C and maximum ambient air temperatures of 45°C.
Our company commits that all equipment will be of recognized maritime brands/types, complying with and approved by IMO/class.

Equipment

“Lamor Oil Recovery Systems”

In order to design and realize the optimal vessel, our company has chosen to collaborate with Lamor for the vessel’s design and equipment. Lamor will provide us with the best tools to achieve our goals. Specifically, the vessel will be equipped with a free-floating, chain brush type Lamor oil skimmer. This skimmer is designed to recover flowing oil, stagnant oil spills, even within port environments.

The V-type three-row brush, oil-friendly, effectively separates oil from water and lifts it to a specially designed cleaner, from where the oil is pumped to the oil transfer pump. The skimmer features a specially designed flow to improve oil recovery in stable conditions. Additionally, it supports bi-directional rotation, enhancing the recovery of light and heavy viscous oils. The skimmer also includes robust removable aluminum floats, an aluminum frame, and a single lifting point, making it easy to lift, operate, clean, and store.

Therefore, our company will adopt the Lamor oil skimmer capable of cleaning level 1 oil spills (crude oil/heavy marine fuel oil) at a minimum rate of 6 tons within 5 hours (although Lamor units have demonstrated significantly better actual performance).

We should add that two hydraulically operated reels are planned for storage and deployment of oil booms according to operational needs. Regarding recovered oil, it will be pumped to storage tanks from where it will be transferred to a barge or onshore facility, with a storage capacity of up to 20 tons.
