PROTUG 100, with IMO number: 9506655, is one of the most powerful and largest tugboats in our fleet. Built in 2009 in Dubai, this exceptional vessel was integrated into the ProMarine Innovations fleet in recent years as part of our strategic effort to enhance our towing services across both European and global markets. PROTUG 100 consistently provides reliable solutions to complex and demanding operations, proudly representing our brand’s commitment to maritime excellence.
This remarkable tugboat features a bollard pull of 104 tons and is equipped with an Azimuth Stern Drive (ASD) propulsion system, powered by two ICE MAK 9M25 engines, generating a total output of 5,940 kilowatts. The ASD system combines bow and stern maneuverability, delivering exceptional agility and control, particularly during critical maneuvering tasks. Compared to other propulsion types, ASD offers increased efficiency, better fuel economy, and easier handling, even in confined or high-traffic port areas. These advantages allow PROTUG 100 to successfully manage any towing operation without limitations.
