PROTUG 85-1, bearing IMO number: 9559781, represents a modern and essential solution in the field of towing operations. This tugboat is the newest member of our company’s fleet, having been constructed in 2024 in Turkey. PROTUG 85-1 is set to become the spearhead of Promarine Innovations in the tugboat sector, introducing innovation and delivering services like never before.
This state of the art tug features a bollard pull of 85 tons and is equipped with an Azimuth Stern Drive (ASD) propulsion system, working in tandem with two MTU 16V4000M65L engines, delivering a combined power output of 5,120 kilowatts. This powerful configuration ensures reliable and swift performance, enabling PROTUG 85-1 to handle even the most challenging towing operations with confidence.
Its core characteristics empower the tug to meet demanding missions head on. The vessel boasts an overall length of 40.76 meters, a beam of 11.2 meters, and a draft of 5 meters. Its gross tonnage stands at 625 tons, allowing the vessel to undertake high-difficulty operations with efficiency and precision.

The tug’s propulsion system is based on bow and stern thruster mechanisms that ensure high maneuverability and control, especially during critical movements required in towing procedures. Thanks to this, PROTUG 85-1 can provide solutions to the toughest challenges and carry out any towing mission without limitations.
