Promarine TUGS
Tugboat PROTUG Ektoras
EKTORAS is one of the most valuable and reliable tugboats in our fleet. Built in 2009, it has since become a vital member of Promarine Innovations, successfully completing demanding missions and towing operations throughout Greece.
The tugboat has an overall length of 18 meters and a beam of 8 meters. It is equipped with two CATERPILLAR 3406 ICE engines, delivering a total power output of 672 kilowatts. This power is transferred to two propellers, which play a key role in supporting the tug’s operational duties. With its technical configuration, EKTORAS can carry out a wide range of towing and marine support activities without limitations.
A core part of EKTORAS operations involves ship towing across Greek waters. Most of its recent voyages have taken place within the national maritime territory, underlining its key role in domestic operations and reinforcing our company’s commitment to delivering reliable, high-standard services. At the same time, the impact of Greek seamanship is evident on the international stage, as Promarine Innovations continues to offer tested and innovative solutions rooted in Greece.
